Maruti launches Victoris Aurum Edition

To mark the first year of its Victoris SUV and its impressive sales performance, Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Aurum Edition. This special edition includes a cosmetic and accessory upgrade, priced at Rs 22,990, available separately from the vehicle’s base cost.
Sales Milestones and Edition Highlights
By September 2026, Victoris had sold 1,47,602 units, solidifying its position in the midsize SUV market. With October’s figures included, total sales surpassed the 1.5 lakh mark. The Aurum Edition enhances the SUV’s appearance with uniquely colored inserts on the front, side, and rear skid plates, as well as the wheel arches. Shiny accessories adorn the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body moldings, and door visors, adding a premium touch.
Additionally, the package includes all-weather 3D cabin mats, a 3D boot mat, and a rear trunk sill guard. These upgrades focus on aesthetic appeal and interior protection, with no changes to the vehicle’s mechanical components.
Sales Performance and Market Standing
From September 2025 to September 2026, Victoris averaged 11,354 monthly sales, consistently exceeding 10,000 units each month in 2026. During the first nine months of 2026, it sold 1,11,335 units, averaging 12,371 units monthly. This performance placed it second in the midsize SUV segment, trailing only the Hyundai Creta, which sold 1,43,424 units across its ICE and EV variants.
Maruti Suzuki highlights that Victoris achieved the highest first-year sales for any new passenger vehicle in India and was the fastest to reach both the 1 lakh and 1.5 lakh sales milestones. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, noted that the Aurum Edition celebrates Victoris’ success and introduces festive styling upgrades.
Victoris’ consistent sales in 2026 have significantly boosted Maruti Suzuki’s SUV segment. The Aurum Edition, priced at Rs 22,990, offers Strong Hybrid buyers a new styling option for the festive season. This launch reflects Maruti Suzuki’s strategy to capitalize on Victoris’ success and attract more buyers during this festive period.
