Hyundai expands Preferred Partner Network across Europe

Hyundai expands Preferred Partner Network across nine new European markets, adding Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and Slovakia to its Charge myHyundai service.
New countries join the existing network
The Preferred Partner Network, first launched in Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom in summer 2025, now covers 18 countries. The company says the expansion lets drivers in the added markets access charging stations that belong to participating infrastructure providers through the Charge myHyundai app.
Customers on the Smart Tariff benefit from a 30 percent discount at Preferred Partner sites, while the discount falls to 10 percent at other locations. The tariff costs €9.99 per month in Germany.

How the tariff works
When a driver selects the Smart Tariff, the app displays the exact price before each session begins. Those who prefer a pay‑as‑you‑go model can choose the Flex Tariff, which requires a one‑time activation fee of €7.49 but no monthly charge. Under the Flex Tariff, charging prices vary by operator, with both AC and DC sessions billed at €0.59 per kWh according to the current price list.
In Germany, the Preferred Partner list includes Ionity, Aral, Shell, Mer, Electra, Pfalzwerke, Allego and Fastned. The participating operators differ by market, but the discount structure remains the same.
Optional packages for frequent chargers
The automaker continues to offer optional packages for Aral and Ionity in Germany. The Aral Light Package, priced at €4.99 per month, reduces high‑power charging to €0.49 per kWh, while the Premium Package at €9.99 per month brings the rate down to €0.39 per kWh. Both plans waive the session fee that otherwise applies under the Flex Tariff, delivering discounts of roughly 35 percent and 50 percent respectively.
For Ionity, two packages are now available. The Premium Package costs €6.99 per month and trims the Flex Tariff rate by €0.25 per kWh. The newly introduced Pro Package, after an introductory period, is €11.99 per month and offers a €0.35 per kWh reduction. Both also eliminate the session fee.

Free trial for new electric‑vehicle owners
New Charge myHyundai customers who register their first battery‑electric Hyundai model receive the Ionity Pro Package free for one month. Charging sessions during the trial are billed at the applicable Pro rates. The promotion is limited to available stock and automatically rolls over to the regular monthly price unless the subscriber cancels before the trial ends.
While the Smart Tariff’s monthly fee may seem modest, critics argue that the subscription model could lock users into a higher overall cost if they charge infrequently. Nevertheless, the plan provides transparent pricing and predictable monthly expenses, a point that may resonate with fleet operators seeking budgeting certainty.
Overall, the network now spans 18 European markets, offering a unified charging experience for Hyundai EV owners. The company says the rollout will continue to evolve as more partners join and as local regulations shape pricing structures.
